I just downloaded and ran the installer.  The previous version of the task bar was running so I accepted the option to close taskbar and restart after install.  The taskbar shut down but when I clicked on finish and start the taskbar again I got a message saying the taskbar was already running.  Clicking on the OK button displayed a windows message behind the box "Task Se7en has stopped working".

I checked the task manager to make sure the taskbar had shut down and ran it again from the icon but I get the same windows message.

I'll restart the computer to see if it works (I'm guessing it will).

Restarted the computer and ran the taskbar from the icon but I get the same message.  The event view shows the following:

I went to uninstall the taskbar and found the 'uninstall a program' window had both the previous version and current version.  I removed both and reinstalled the new version but I get the same message and event viewer report.

I found the issue and will fix and repost in about an hour. This is my fault as I left a few debug things in there that I missed when finalizing for this release.

I'm having significant stability issues with 1.9.9.2 rev 1.  For some reason, it wouldn't start without me first moving all the windows off the secondary monitor.  I think it really doesn't like the task manager window, but that might just be a coincidence.  It seems like I can get it to crash on command by merely moving a window back and forth between the primary and secondary monitors.  It seems to usually crash after doing that 4 or 5 times.  Sometimes it takes down explorer.exe (which your readme already said you knew about).

Also, I've said this before, but you really need to work on the background of the little aero peek windows.  If they appear over a white screen you can't read the title of the window- just just see the white from the window that's open.  The aero peek windows in the stock taskbar seem to have a much darker background.  I don't really care how closely it matches the original taskbar- I just want to be able to read the titles.

I've had a .Net unhandled exception error a couple of times swapping between firefox and the downloads window:

Clicking on continue brings up the error below.  Clicking on the continue option in this box just keeps popping up the same box.  I have to kill the taskse7en.exe to remove the popup.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

For some reason, it wouldn't start without me first moving all the windows off the secondary monitor.
I was unable to reproduce this.

It seems like I can get it to crash on command by merely moving a window back and forth between the primary and secondary monitors.  It seems to usually crash after doing that 4 or 5 times.
I was unable to reproduce this as well. I dragged a window between monitors 30-35 times and no crash.

Sometimes it takes down explorer.exe (which your readme already said you knew about).
We're doing what we can to make this as least likely as possible but, due to the nature of a few things its still a possibility.

We're aware of the window color that the thumbnail window has and it is a little difficult to read at times. This is only a 64bit issue at the moment but, we are looking for a proper fix. When I say 'proper' I mean in the correct way of making the window have the right color and not by using some cheap hack. When ran on a 32bit system Task Se7en has the proper window color for both the task bar and the thumbnail window.

Can we have an opportunity to add excluded programs,...
I believe we can work that into a build soon. The infrastructure is already there. We just need to implement it once again.

(Overlay icon disappears and it shows the opened windows in reverted order)
The overlay icon for messenger is placed on the icon for the messenger hidden window. This is the window that creates the useless button on the primary taskbar when Task Se7en is not running. It also produces the useless button on the Task Se7en taskbar. The reason it may seem to disappear is that when msgr is already running and then Task Se7en is started Task Se7en will steal that window from the native taskbar - along with the overlay icon. When that window - or any other window that has an overlay icon on its button - is returned to the native taskbar the overlay icon is lost. I'm looking for a fix for this but haven't yet come across anything that works. It's not as simple as just setting the overlay icon back on the native button.

I've been debating whether or not to add this window to an internal list of windows that Task Se7en just shouldn't handle to begin with.
As far as reverted order goes, the order in which Task Se7en displays the buttons for each window - on start-up - is the z-order of each window on screen. Starting with the window that has the highest z-order.

Taskbar showing up and then crashes on Windows 7 x86.
Haven't had this issue with the previous release.
